SCALA ENGINEER (AKKA)

Scala Engineer (Akka) is needed for a long-term project for a financial client based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The Scala engineer wills Strong fundamentals in software design and development with Deep experience of Java; continuous delivery is a must.

YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

- Deep experience with Java is required
- Experience in Functional programming
- Hands on experience in Scala
- Hands on experience in mentoring and coaching the team on Scala
- Deep experience with Linux and Scripting is required.
- Perfect understanding of and experience in distributed systems
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum Dev/Ops teams
- Experience with working in a complex environment
- Experience with working in reactive programming
- Experience as a user of Akka
- Experience in understanding of Actor models
- Experience in using Akka HTTP Streams
- Experience in creating nodes, clusters in Akka
- Development of REST APIs and services
- Experience with stream processing products.
- Experience in working in Agile environment
- Experience in working with message buses is an advantage.
- Experience with continuous delivery is a must.
- Experience with developing RESTfull services, Tomcat, JSON, HTTP, Zookeeper
