Scala Developer Dublin Contract 6-12 Months.

My client a leading name in their own market is in urgent need of a talented and experienced Scala developer to join them on a contract basis.

My client is driving towards new system changes; the system is being constructed in Scala and Python. My client follows Agile management, Agile, Scrum and Kanban delivery methodologies, with a focus on ATDD/BDDCobol, Java, C#, C, Oracle, SQL Server and Tibco Business Works. My client doesn't expect you to know every one of these technologies and will provide training where required.

You will be a key figure within the Dublin team as part of the larger department, working within an Agile team, writing requirements and specification (eg. automated tests), developing relationships across the technology and user communities. In addition making sure we are always focusing on delivery of value using exceptional quality.

You will be responsible for supporting modern agile software development methods; including educatingIreland and other regions.

Successful candidate will have a background in modern OO language with experience in at least one of Java/Scala/Python/C# with a preference for Scala; you ill be Experienced in using design patterns and following best software engineering practices. Candidates will be Proficient in written and verbal communication in order to support and shape the platform and clearly articulate technical designs and concepts

Successful candidate will have Experience of Specification by Example/ATDD/BDD; you will Follow clean code principles and rigorously adhere to Test Driven Development practices including continual integration, it will be expected that you have Experience of Scrum/Agile methods.
