Our market leading global client is looking for a Scala Developer to join a team of developers adding new exciting features to the company's application module for their clients. The flagship product is an enterprise digital asset management system and the core services are written in Scala. You will be responsible for writing these and working full stack on a large enterprise system.

CORE SKILLS
• Minimum 3 years experience in the Java/Scala ecosystem.
• Excellent knowledge of the Scala language and programming paradigms.
• Experience in working with MongoDB and Elastic Search.
• Implementing Message based architectures using JMS (Active MQ)
• An understanding of HTTP REST based protocols and JSON are a must.
• Ability to develop and own application features, individual tasks in order to meet deadlines.
• Ability to interact with technical and non-technical people to gauge requirements.

DESIRABLE SKILLS
• Experience in other programming languages, especially Javascript an advantage.
• Comfortable using Scrum workflows within JIRA.
• Interest in open source solutions, and willing to contribute back to community.
• Ability to quickly build credible relationships with managers, staff and external customers
• Must be a confident communicator with good written and oral communication
• Production deployments are all Linux environments so knowledge of the OS is an advantage.
