SKILLS
Excellent, demonstrable Service Level/Performance Management background and pedigree across the full test life cycle preferably within a major government department according to ITIL principles
Experience of working with third party suppliers/Towers particularly relating to availability performance management
Service Management and Service Reporting experience
Strong numeracy skills and abilities in order to analyse availability data for root-cause and proactive trend analysis
Able to provide examples of collaborative working skills gained from working in a multi-vendor environment
Able to demonstrate capability to work to challenging deadlines
Personable but strong character. Able to influence and command respect from 3rd party suppliers
Strong oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to remain flexible and adaptable, and react well when working under pressure
The ability to chair and run customer/Tower Performance Management meetings
DESIRABLE SKILLS
Knowledge of ITIL service management principles equivalent to ITIL Foundation certification
Experience of analysis and reporting on Availability Performance
Working knowledge of PRINCE2
Degree level or equivalent with significant Mathematics/Statistics content
Experience of working with large Government Departments
ROLE
My client is establishing a Service Performance Management function that will provide timely, detailed and accurate information on all aspects of Performance Management, Service Levels, Key Performance Indicators and Customer Satisfaction. This will involve detailed engagement and coordination with a number of different suppliers who have been contracted directly by the Customer for provision of network, end user computing, hosting and application services as well as their own managed service environment. The objective of the Service Performance Management team is to assure the SIAM and Towers deliver a service that is not only within the Service Level Targets but also applies Continual Service Improvement to ensure an ever-reducing number of incidents and issues.
