SC Cleared Linux Specialist/Web Administrator - Linux, Puppet, Chef is required by my client who is based in Richmond, London

Candidates must hold current SC Clearance.

SPECIALIST SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

- Unix/Linux expertise
- Understanding of common web application architectures
- Deploying, configuring and managing machines in a Cloud environment
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef
- Familiarity with network protocols - TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, etc.
- Scripting or basic programming skills

DESIRABLE

- Experience with any of Ruby, Java, PHP and other Web programming languages
- Experience with agile development practices
- Installation and management of open source monitoring tools
- Understanding of application deployment strategies and continuous integration
- Experience debugging a complex multi-server service
- Experience of working in a secure environment

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Build and configure environments to support the delivery of the IDA platform
- Develop and manage automated tooling to do so
- Operational management of Linux environments
- Support development teams in application configuration and deployment
- Work with developers to test, debug and troubleshoot issues and problems
- Share on-call duties
