SC Cleared Information Security Manager

SC Cleared Information Security Manager required for a 3 month contract initially to work in Central London with travel to Hook, Hampshire site.

The Information Security Manager will ensure IT security risks in are monitored and assessed and effective mitigations are in place, including policies, technical strategies, products, and monitoring tools. You will ensure that technical security architecture is correctly aligned with the technical strategy, to research, design and implement IS security solutions and to assess the technical features and benefits of different capabilities to support the security, ensuring that Accreditation and Code of Connection standards are adhered to.

Candidates should come to the role with:
* Experience of systems security projects
* Good communication and consulting skills and the ability to deal with both business and technical stakeholders
* Experience of working with external stakeholders including suppliers
* Awareness of up-to-date security technology development
* Delivering effective technical statements of work using architecture standards used in public and private sector including CESG, CISSP, CLAS and TOGAF
* Experience in developing HMG CONFIDENTIAL government networks and related information infrastructures
* A good understanding of project and programme management, ability to recognise project management principles and techniques
* Experience of participating in, and managing technical teams, demonstrating technical knowledge and experience of high security infrastructures and applications
* Expert technical knowledge of IT security methods, tools and techniques to IL4 level
* Very good knowledge of HMG, CECG and SPF information assurance government policy requirements.
* Having a clear understanding of the relationship between technical confidential and specialist issues and strategic business and operational needs and able to align technical solutions with these
* Practiced in working in the public sector, or within Police Service. Able to demonstrate an appreciation of the business functions and technologies involved
