SC Cleared Commercial Officer - Contract - Wiltshire or Kent

We are currently seeking an experienced SC Cleared Commercial Officer to provide a procurement and commercial service through MoD frameworks. The candidate will also be expected to complete other commercial contracts as required and directed by the line manager.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
Provide procurement and commercial service based on MOD contracting experience ensuring contracts and suppliers meet client's requirements for operational and contractual delivery.
Lead and manage procurements through the development and implementation of effective contracts with appropriate suppliers, through MOD frameworks such as FATS.
Use a range of EU compliant procurement routes and tools as appropriate.
Make use of effective procurement approaches and processes.
Provide direct support and advice as appropriate, including acting as the 'advisor' on issues such as commercial approaches, evaluation processes and negotiation strategies.
Participate in project and programme governance activities, to move successfully through the approval process.
Support Strategy Leaders and Programme Leaders to maintain effective partnerships through effective placing and managing of contracts.
Managing both financial and non-financial extensions to temporary staff contracts existing contracts. Actioning amendments and closures to PO's as directed by business stakeholders.
Provide contingency support to the twice monthly Resourcing Business Case process, with the aim of taking full ownership within several months.
Issuing of letters seeking tax assurance from incumbent temporary staff.
Helping to answer questions both internally and externally in regards to temporary staff.
Provide savings through negotiation on day rates when appropriate.
Assist with the management of supplier relationships including generating Management Information when required.
Provide robust Management Information (MI) by ensuring data entered onto the Corporate IS (iCAS) and local databases is correct.

Skills/Experience Required
-Experiencing of MoD contracting from a research point of view.
-Will have successfully managed delivery of work preferably within a commercial or procurement environment.
-Able to demonstrate strong communications
-Ability to work on multiple pieces of work at any one time
-Willingness to learn and adapt to new ways of working

Formal Qualifications Required Ideally MCIPS, or at least working towards MCIPS
