Satellite Test Engineer / Island Lead (M/F)

Your Tasks

Lead of a small team of engineers / technicians
Work planning, organization and control
Support for test procedure preparation as well as test report generation
Test procedure execution on satellite flight hardware within a small test team
Functional and reduced performance testing of all satellite subsystems, e.g. Attitude and Orbital Control Subsystem (AOCS), Power Subsystem, Telemetry, Tracking and Command Subsystem and the navigation payload using on-board software
End-to-end test of correct AOCS implementation (i.e. "polarity verification")
Delegated Quality Assurance tasks like e.g. Key Inspection Points, standard inspections, mating logs, as-runs, procedure variations, Non-Conformance-Reports, Problem Reports

Your Qualifications

A degree in electrical engineering, aerospace technology, physics or comparable qualification
At least four years of experience in the satellite AIT or test field
Knowledge of ECSS standards for testing and verification of software and hardware
Knowledge about Spacecraft Central Checkout Systems (CCS), preferably running under SCOS 2000 Version 3.1 (TOPE)
Experience in functional and performance testing and verification of satellite subsystems and on-board software
High motivation and commitment to the project
Used to tough project targets and challenges
Well-developed communication skills and hands-on mentality
Excellent conceptual and analytical skills and able to work under time-pressure
Fluency in spoken and written English
