SAS Technical Project Manager - RISK Infrastructure

Projektbeschreibung

The Analytical Environment Support and Maintenance (AESM) team provide support for 550 credit users on the Risk Infrastructure Analytical Environments such as (Le Mans, DSME and RDI). The key objectives are to ensure the overall platforms availability, security, supporting infrastructure and processes are aligned with tactical and strategic information management initiatives.

AESM is the link between IT and Credit Risk users to ensure the platforms are positioned for compliance within agreed service levels and ensures users requirements are continually met and delivered against.

The Technical Project Manager role is to plan, manage and coordinate the technical delivery to the project objectives ie mapping of business requirements and processes to technical specifications on LBG heritage and strategic analytical systems. This will involve detailed planning, adherence to governance controls, planning of activities, communication and engagement across the business teams and IT areas. Also oversight, management of technical analyst resources; and provide quality gateway assurance governance throughout the delivery cycle.

Specific detail and core responsibilities

- Create and deliver project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Input into technical solution options aligned to the strategic architecture (SAS and Unix)
- Provide technical approval of project and IT design documentation
- Delivery Quality Gateway management
- Identify resources and assign responsibilities.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s).
- Competent in require project methodology.
- Ensures project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
- Works closely with relevant stake holders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).
- Works with analysts and designers to define and document questions, liaise with business to obtain requirements and explain feasibility.
- Submits project status reports to stakeholders; anticipates and reacts to change.
- Ensuring that budgets are adhered to and deadlines met;
- Planning and working flexibly to a deadline;

In addition, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

- Strong skill set in SAS technology and tools (min SAS v9.2, but preferably v9.3 and v9.4)
- Excellent track record for delivery to timescales and effective management of risks and issues
- The ability to work well within a team.
- Strong Stakeholder Management experience is key.
- Strong project planning and effective communication skills
- Show well-developed interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, particularly the ability to convey key business information arising from complex issues to non-technical people
- Experience of financial product data, especially Credit Risk would be beneficial
