SAS Technical Analyst 

My client is searching for an experienced SAS Technical Analyst. Candidates in this role will sit within the IS Shared Service Centre, whose function is to maintain systems for collection, integration, analysis and presentation of business information on different departments of the client group  throughout Europe.

Working with a team of 35 people, we operate on three technologies (SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Business Objects and SAS) and are organized into two pools of expertise, Design (evolving maintenance and project) and Operation (daily monitoring of system).

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a SAS technical Analyst (pool operation) who, together with other members of the track and under the responsibility of the operation manager, will handle the following responsibilities:

-Monitor daily loads and ensure availibility of data according to SLA
- Take required action to ensure system performance
-Provide a technical guidance to business IT partners
- Provide a technical guidance for project related to the application
- Plan and implement new batch programs according to business requirement and IT dependencies
-Management of complex incidents associated with its track
- Management of change requests in all SAS domains involved
- Be part of problem team, being time to time coordinator of problem management
- Provide technical support to Management for technical decisions
- Coordinate all actions related to system interface with related IT teams

In the context of Business Objects and under supervision of a highly skilled BO consultant you will be also be able to:

- Perform high level monitoring
- Apply quick and basic changes
- Perform Basic administrative tasks

In terms of Technical SAS and functional skills, you will require the skills to:

-Monitor closely a SAS system by keeping performance and stability following service level agreement
-You have knowledge in the domain of SAS Foundation and SAS Business Intelligence (no matter the version)
- You have a good knowledge in Java Application Server (Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, Weblogic, ...)
- Technical and functionnal analysis
- ITIL Processes (Incidents, Problems, change, release management) basic knowledge + advanced in domain - Incident/Problems
- Third level support for technical SAS issues
- Be able to have an high level overview on a complex landscape
- Basic Oracle knowledge
- Basic SAP BW (7.X) knowledge
- Basic interfacing knowledge (FTP, XML, CSV files, ...)
- Confirmed knowledge of Windows OS
- Basic knowledge of Unix OS
- Knowledge in Microsoft SQL BI suite (analysis services, reporting services, integration services, ...) is a plus
- SAS Development in extraction, transformation and load (ETL)
