SAS Developer (Remote) Job

SAS DEVELOPER (REMOTE) needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in St. Louis, MO. SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST WORK ONSITE IN ST. LOUIS FOR THREE (3) MONTHS AND THEN REMOTELY AFTER THAT.

The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Five (5+) years of SAS Development
- SAS Di and Base SAS
- Unix Platforms
- Perl Scripting
- Teradata Backend experience

What You'll Be Doing:
- Work as part of a driven team ensuring existing and new code meets high standards of quality.
- The scope of the role will include testing and fixing defects; developing unit tests and test scripts; performing local development builds, application integration builds and code merges.
- Be a key contributor in code reviews; performing unit and integration testing; and planning and coordinating implementation activities.
- Sharpen critical thinking skills by assisting with the analysis and review of software requirements by attending, or leading design presentations and/or design sessions.
- Implement complex modules, enhancements, or change requests based on a provided design, and participate in migrating applications to the quality assurance and/or production environment.
- Have the opportunity to develop your leadership potential by mentoring less senior team members on new tasks and assignments.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Must possess five (5) plus years of experience in working in a large scale computing and/or networking environment.
- Must have five (5) years of SAS ETL TOOLS EXPERIENCE (SAS DI, BASE SAS).
- TWO (2) PLUS YEARS WITH TERADATA ON THE BACK END (RECENT EXPERIENCE).
- Must possess a minimum of three to five (3-5) years of experience with SQL, UNIX operating system and PERL SCRIPTING LANGUAGE.
- Must have prior application and database performance tuning experience
- Must be versed in multiple and various programming languages
- Knowledge and use of Tivoli Workload Scheduler are a plus.
- Knowledge and use of ClearCase or other versioning tools are plus.
- Able to operate from both a big-picture and a tactical viewpoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills for technical and non-technical content.
- Be both diplomatic and persuasive.
- ABILITY TO WORK REMOTELY AFTER FIRST THREE (3) MONTHS
