SAS DATAWAREHOUSE TEST ANALYST

We are urgently seeking a SAS Datawarehouse Test Analyst for a long-term fund accounting and reporting datawarehouse programme in Dutch asset management.

THE SAS DATAWAREHOUSE TEST ANALYST WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING

- testing defined aspects of the project
- Review of test requirements/cases to ensure quality and coverage
- Creation of regular status reports to validate progress and highlight issues
- Execute test plan and do testing of trading and fund accounting related processes, workflows etc.

THE SAS DATAWAREHOUSE TEST ANALYST WILL IDEALLY HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Experience of complex test projects in which different vendors and stakeholders were involved
- Good management and coordination skills, including stake holder management
- Good communication skills, can work easily independently
- Good social skills, able to work with different levels within the organization
- Pragmatic & pro-active, customer oriented and team player
- Can work under pressure
- Fluent in the languages English
- The SAS Datawarehouse Test Analyst will ideally have the following skills and experience
- Strong experience at Senior Test Analyst position and supervisory experience with experience of testing stages including Functional and Non-Functional Testing with complex interfaces
- Experience in using HP ALM Quality Centre or similar test tools
- Sound understanding of structured test models (eg Agile, Waterfall, V- Model), and the ability to work within them appropriately
- Experience of automated testing using QTP similar
- Sound understanding of technical architectures
- Experience of supporting all test phases in preparation and execution activities
- Experience in deriving system test scripts from documented requirements and the ability to identify and manage un-documented requirements
- Sound understanding of techniques for ensuring test coverage and traceability
- Ability to apply Risk Based Testing techniques at planning and execution stages, adjusting to meet changing priorities and timescales as necessary
- Experience in assessing, prioritising, and managing defects through to closure
- Ability to recognize and flag issues outside area of own expertise or responsibility to team leader or manager, as appropriate
- ISEB/ISTQB Test Manager level certificate or equivalent industry level experience
- Liaising with Business users, Project Managers, Development teams, Customer Assurance Teams external 3rd Parties etc
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to perform hands on testing if required
- Domain and system knowledge needed
- Experienced in Client & Fund Accounting and Reporting processes
- Basis knowledge of Capital Markets, Derivatives, FX, MM & Alternative Investments and fund characteristics
- Preferable experience with fund accounting and reporting platforms testing and datawarehousing and data management technologies
