SAS Data Analytics Specialist - Immediate Start - 3 Month Contract

Looking for a SAS Data Analytics Specialist to join a Government Department immediately.

THE ROLE SPECIFICALLY REQUIRES TO:

- Assist with data structure design, data remediation and data loading to a portal (for payments processing) against varied funding schedules
- For providers to be loaded into the portal to produce new funding schedules for them and to make payments to them.
- Requires a strong level of expertise in SAS DI, SQL and data structure design with experience in the analytics area.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

ESSENTIAL

- Extensive hands-on experience of the SAS BI suite of software tools with evidence of implementation and particular reference to Business Intelligence products, in particular SAS Enterprise Guide and SQL;
- Strong data analysis experience and demonstrated skills to define and resolve business problems including practicality of solution;
- Knowledge of IT architecture with an understanding of the Back End' processes involved in large IT platforms;
- Integrating data from a variety of sources (eg. Mainframe, Oracle, Notes) using SAS DI Studio and corresponding SAS metadata implementation;
- Ability to engage effectively with senior business users through clear and professional oral and written communication, contributions to meetings and presentations;
- Provide technical advice as required to clients, management and other Technology Group teams;
- Provide mentoring and skills transfer to other Technology Group members in a complex technical and analytical environment;
- Under the direction of the Director/Team Leader, manage own work priorities to achieve work accountabilities and deliverables.
