The SAS Solution Consultant will serve as a key member MIA Business Intelligence team and will be focused on supporting MIA SAS Business Intelligence tools using SAS EG and DI Studio and other SAS functionality

The candidate will be responsible for solution development, and maintenance of the MIA's SAS BI Tools. Essential Functions: The Solution Design Consultant is responsible for providing guidance and expertise in the design, development and implementation of changes to the MIA's BI tools. The Solution Design Consultant will partner with both business clients and clientIT to define and implement business requirements and recommend appropriate solutions and serve as the key resource for maintenance, technical support and troubleshooting MIA's SAS BI tool. Work with IT and business users to resolve support and technical questions. Provide support to the business community in leveraging the SAS BI platform.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required with emphasis in computer sciences or engineering discipline, business, or related field 5+ years of product development on SAS BI as well as experience with SAS DI. Detailed knowledge of SAS BI architecture Developed knowledge of and experience with Enterprise Guide, and the SAS BI Client suite of products, including but not limited to, Information Map Studio, Web Report Studio, Information Delivery Portal, AppDev Studio and others. Proficient at UNIX command line processing. Good understanding of Apache Tomcat and IBM WebSphere as it relates to the SAS BI infrastructure.

You must have technical competency in understanding technical systems, with conceptual understanding of various components, and ability to understand technically what & why, while engaging both sides of the spectrum - business/architects on one hand, and engineers/support staff on the other Excellent solution evaluation and design, problem resolution and data analysis skills. Must be able to present in a simplified, understandable and meaningful way to upper management, peers and business clients.

Strong written and verbal communications skills, including:
- Effective meeting management
- Prepare and present (PowerPoint/Visio)
- Documentation templates for various procedures when needed

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong Consulting experience in a healthcare setting.
Expert level SAS programming skills with a emphasize on SAS Macro language and the use of nested SAS Formats, particular emphasis on ODS output manipulation, XLS & RTF tagset manipulation, as well an solid understanding of Template language
