Duration: 8 months +

Job Description
SAS Consultant Skill Sets, Duties and Responsibilities:
At least five years experience in working/developing in a SAS9 environment (preferably as part of an analytics project).
MA or PhD level quantitative field of study.
Minimum of 5 years building long term demand and pricing forecasts/models.
Experience with SAS/ACCESS to Oracle
Experience using SAS DATASTEP/SQL to access, transform and integrate data into analytical data marts.
Experience using SAS Enterprise Guide for data exploration, reporting, & graphing.
Experience using Enterprise Miner as follows:
- A data exploration tool
- To perform descriptive statistical analyses
- Statistical modelling feeding into forecasts.
- Data clustering, variable significance, variable creation, segmentation, etc.

Experience in using Forecast Server as follows:
- Build long term forecast models for pricing and demand
- Measure effectiveness and accuracy of models
- Productionalize these models to be run once per month
- Have the ability to measure models through year and make necessary adjustments prior to the next month ensuring the accuracy of the forecast.
- Ability to see problems of pricing and demand forecasting methodology in novel ways to create out-of-the-box forecasting solutions.
