SAS Analyst / Developer (Brussels)

Je functie: Context
The Central Business Intelligence team is a part of Customer Experience - Customer Intimacy - Individuals.
The mission of this team is among other things to develop and maintain the BI assets (DWHs, data marts, BO universes, …).
We decided to migrate all SAS processes running on zOS Infocenter to a new infrastructure based on Hadoop (HDFS, HIVE, HBASE) and SAS on Linux.

Function description
The mission has different aspects:
° In depth analysis of the processes running on a Mainframe partition acting as Infocenter
° Prepare a migration planning to distributed environments on Linux
° Propose strategies to migrate based on business usage and activity
° Contact Business to analyse end-users processes
° Have some Hadoop knowledge to understand the challenges and the opportunities of the migration
° Having a good knowledge of data representation on zOS

Education
Bachelor/Master in informatics - Engineer/Commercial engineer.

Languages requirement
French Fluent or fluent in Dutch.
Dutch Fluent or fluent in French.
English Good.

Experience
° At least 5 years of experience in zOS/MVS environment, including SAS
° A good knowledge of zOS files representation and organization including SAS libraries, EBCDIC flat files and COBOL copybooks
° A professional experience of at least 8 years.

Technical experience
Mandatory
° zOS files organization
° SAS on zOS
° SAS Libraries
° zOS technologies including DB2, DFSMS, EBCDIC
° file transfer technology

Preferable
Hadoop including HDFS, HBASE, HIVE
SAS on Linux
Usage of SAS connected to HIVE and HDFS
