SAS Administrator Job

SAS ADMINISTRATOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Glendale, AZ.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Possess in depth knowledge of SAS Foundation 9.3/9.4, SAS Metadata BI Server 9.3/9.4, Platform LSF Suite and SAS Visual Analytics 6.3/6.4
- Must have experience with SAS Enterprise Guide application V4.3 or greater, SAS Management Console and SAS Web Report Studio.
- Must know how to use the application and support user base.
- Experience supporting SAS Office Analytics Suite
- Experience in security and workspace administration in SAS Management Console
- SAS/Access Interface to Oracle, ODB and Hadoop.
- SAS Clients: SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Enterprise Miner, Base SAS, SAS Model Manager, Microsoft Add-in Client Installation/Troubleshooting

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- SAS Platform Administration.
- Managing and modifying metadata server setup/structure, creating new data sources, data libraries, and user groups.
- Install, configure and maintain the SAS environment on Linux.
- Performance tuning (ETL, stored procedures & DB engine). Diagnose SAS code for optimization
- Troubleshoot/resolve SAS platform issues
- Maintain department SLA's for issue triage and resolution
- Perform SAS Metadata Repository and Database backups.
- Ensure Database monitoring is in place to proactively address issues.
- Routine application of SAS Hot fixes and service packs.
- Version upgrades of both server and client components, including shepherding upgrades through certification processes
- Utilize automation tools to schedule, execute, and monitor jobs to optimize performance and processes.
- Monitor storage space for critical file systems and performs capacity planning to address growth in items like storage, memory, CPU utilization .
- Analyze source data/file structures, Metadata, and profile source data
- Setup of new SAS users
- Assist in new development efforts as time allow
- Ensures the platform is positioned for compliance with IT policies and standards and agreed upon service levels.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Three to five (3-5) years of SAS Platform Administration on Linux with recent SAS 9.3 and 9.4
- Two to five (2-5) years of experience with SAS Office Analytics or related products
- Five to seven (5-7) years of SAS background (including configuration, testing, debugging)
- Five (5) plus years of experience working with UNIX
- Two (2) plus years of experience working with CRON and/or Autosys, Shell/Perl scripts
- Experience with SAS SPDS, SAS Schedule Manager and SAS Visual Analytics LASR Server management
- Experience with infrastructure level projects such as system upgrades, platform and technology migrations.
- Experience with SAN and NFS file systems.
- Experience with trouble ticketing systems.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience working in large environments.
