SAP Transportation Management

Location: Brussels

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

- Design the TM planning function for trucks.
- Build requirement profiles (ie, geographical and/or time-based).
- Develop cost profiles, penalties for early vs. late arrivals and stop charges (eg, # of stops and its costs).
- Design incompatibility conditions and overall planning options.
- Define resource management like vehicles and schedules.
- Configure lanes and route management, including distances, duration, means of transports and carriers available.
- Design business partners and business share rules and allocation.
- Develop in partnership with iDAP the business analytics.
- Must have strong knowledge of the TM optimizer.
- Must have BRF+ knowledge.
- Must have broad background of logistics projects.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Expert functional knowledge in SAP TM 8 or beyond.
- Strong knowledge on ECC6 SD.
- Strong knowledge of ECC6 MM and Inventory Management.
- Proficient in SAP/TM order integration and PI interfaces.
- BRF+ a must.

INDUSTRY BACKGROUND

- 5 - 10 years. in process industry
- 5+ years configuration in SAP TM - including strong knowledge of TM optimizer.
- 2+ years of custom extension/design/development experience.
- 2+ years of data harmonization across multiple source systems on various versions of SAP R/3.
- Experience in working in a big multi-national organization, which includes the application of extended review and stewardship procedures.
- Ability to deliver in cross-functional areas (functionality impacting various modules concurrently).
- Experience in SAP TM upgrade/implementation area (at least 4 years. experience covering some or all of the below areas).

OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED

- Strong ability to understand business requirements, translate into systems requirements and apply SAP industry best practices to develop solutions.
- Ability to write solid and detailed functional and technical design documents in English, to be handed over to developers or other project staff, covering design for configuration items and custom developments. Also, be able to write test scenarios, end-user work instructions and unit and integrated test plans.
- Experience in applying structured SAP implementation methodology.
- Ability to lead workshop sessions globally. Able to balance local versus global perspective, perform synthesis of gathered information and propose effective and workable global process solution.
- Work with business experts to understand their requirements, guide and advise them on best solution approach within the scope of the project. Manage business experts with confidence.
- Ability to prototype, review prototype with business resources, and recycle prototyped solution based on feedback as an on-going process.
- Ability to work with business and IT resources on data collection, enhancement, conversion and loading activities.

GENERAL SKILLS

- English fluency (spoken and written).
- Ability to handle multiple issues/tasks simultaneously with changing priorities.
- Ability to work effectively in an integrated fashion in an environment with broad cultural diversity and across different time zones.
- Ability to work effectively in virtual environments, utilizing audio conference and online collaboration tools.
- Need to be able to prioritize and work with various resources (project internal & external) to get issues resolved.
- Ability to communicate work progress across the project.
- Presentational and system demonstration skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to a non-IT audience (such as business subject matter experts).
