SAP Technical Project Manager (Pharma Experience) - 100%, Zurich

Our client, one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies with Headquarter in Zurich, is looking for a SAP TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER with expertise from AT LEAST 3 PROJECTS in the AREA OF SAP (incl. basis, archiving or system decommissioning)

This is a contractingrole based in Zurich or Konstanz and planned to start ASAP i until end of the year.

PROJECT BACKGROUND:

Our client is running 4 different SAP landscapes but already have some old SAP systems which are not longer actively used. For audit reasons the data must be still available. Hence they are currently running a global initiative to harmonize these 4 landscapes. This results in 3 more systems to be transferred into the inactive mode. Today these inactive systems are hosted at their SAP hosting provider in a reduced SLA mode.

PROJECT TASK:

Evaluate the best solution in terms of costs, audit-readiness and risk for these inactive SAP systems.

The first phase of this project will be to evaluate several options (SAP ILM and others) and to run a POC for the preferred solution.

TASKS:

Prepares internal approval documents and drives approval process

Manages validation and QA alignment
-

Managing with Architecture and run teams on the delivery of IT projects and the support of infrastructure/systems/applications within area of responsibility

Aligns activities with the regional SAP heads and SAP Service Delivery Manager
-

Aligns activities with the internal functional SAP team leads
-

Maintain a good level of SAP product knowledge combined with a class leading understanding of current business and technology trends
-

Maintains working knowledge of business and technology, remains current with emerging industry trends, and envisions new capabilities to meet business needs

Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with technical and non-technical clients.

IDEAL PROFILE:

8+ YEARS OF SAP and EXCELLENT PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS

TECHNICAL SAP KNOWLEDGE in architecture, basis, applications
-

IT Service Management knowledge and process knowledge
Expertise from AT LEAST 3 PROJECTS in the AREA OF SAP basis, archiving or system decommissioning

Experience and knowledge in ITIL SERVICE PROCESSES

Experienced in managing and working with OUTSOURCED SERVICES
-

PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT experience
-

Communication - ability to communicate ideas and data both verbally and written in a persuasive and appropriate manner

Analytical Skills - ability to analyse a wide variety of data and derive actionable insights

Management - ability to set priorities, align stakeholder expectations, and develop and execute an associated plan of action

RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT and influence skills - ability to engage effectively with colleagues with different backgrounds and areas of expertise

Information technology experience managing a suite of applications with end users located globally

Ability to analyse a wide variety of data and make appropriate decisions

NICE TO HAVES:

PMP or Prince2 certification

In-depth Pharmaceutical industry and drug development experience.

Experience with validated system

ITIL foundation certification
