SAP Technical BI Project Manager - 12-month contract - Switzerland
Our global retail company have restructured their European IT landscape and are implementing SAP FMS on HANA as a leading ERP system starting January 2017. The chosen candidate will liaise with the existing vendor(s) in charge of the new BI solution. As a Technical BI Project Manager, you will report into a Senior BI Technical Manager with a dotted line into the overall project management. The project timeline covers several years with expected completion in 2020.
Responsibilities:
-Work collaboratively with BI vendors ensuring proficient project planning across the BI area and other work streams
-Supervise vendor activities helping project teams meet deliverables
-Work closely with Business BI Stream Leads
-Ownership coordinating the technical design and implementation activities
-Ensure the solution covers the business needs in relation to analytics and reporting
-Oversee vendors ensuring they follow SAP best practices
Professional Skills:
-Solid understanding of business processes - retail industry experience a plus
-Strong knowledge of business concepts and data analysis (end to end life cycle experience)
-SAP ECC functional knowledge
-Extensive experience project managing BI solutions
-Agile working environment expertise
-Experience dealing with third party vendors
-BI best practice know-how
-BI Visualisation tools (IBM Cognos)
-Experience with data modelling/SAP HANA modelling/ETL development
Personal Skills:
-Assertive with managerial ability
-Excellent English communication - written and spoken
-Experience within highly pressured environments
