ROLE PURPOSE

- The role of the SAP Technical Architect includes the overall development, construction and enhancement of applications according to functional requirements, encompassing best practices and latest standards.
- Liaise with the Process owners and other work streams where required.
- Work closely with the functional analyst to write or review the technical design in line with functional specifications.

DIMENSIONS/KPIS

- Deliver Web Dynpro ABAP based solutions which support best practices. You will need to be able to hit the ground running and make a direct impact to the project.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

ACTIVITIES/TASKS DESCRIPTION: 

- Liaise with process owners to determine the functional and technical requirements of the required solutions.
- Prototype solution, evaluate feasibility of development, support offshore.
- Assess/plan workload, lead/coordinate the development and the delivery of the solutions in an international environment.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED (TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, LANGUAGES, AND SPECIALIZATION):

MUST HAVE:

- Proven expertise in: SAP FPM, SAP WDA, SAP ABAP OO, SAP enhancement framework
- Relevant experience in multiple development cycles and at least one SAP full upgrade cycle
- 5+ years of work experience in international development environment
- Knowledge or work experience of SCRUM
- Fluent in English

ADVANTAGE/ASSET:

- SCRUM Master
- Past implementations of PLM-RM SPI or SPI
- Relevant experience as a development coordinator

- PLM-RM
- SPI
- WWI
- SIFBA or SFP

- Senior ABAP developer with minimum 5 years experience in full end to end cycle projects.
- Strong SAP Web Dynpro ABAP development skills utilizing best practices and latest development standards.
- Strong ABAP Object Orientated coding experience.
- Knowledge of customizing Web Dynpro applications within the enhancement framework.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to assimilate information rapidly
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints

KNOWLEDGE

- PROCESS AREA KNOWLEDGE IS AN ASSET (PLM).
- KNOWLEDGE OF FLOOR PLAN MANAGER UI ARCHITECTURE IS AN ASSET.
- KNOWLEDGE OF ADOBE INTERACTIVE FORMS IS AN ASSET.
