SAP Security Architect

Link Technologies is seeking an experienced SAP Security Architect for a long-term contract position in Las Vegas, NV.

Position Purpose:
Develops, designs, maintains, and supports the SAP security profile definitions, including authorization object definition, authorization check process and all other relevant tables. Works with the ERP office, Security team, Audit Services and other departments as required to manage and control access to ERP office to meet business requirements.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Provide SAP security maintenance, design development, and support.
- Builds, maintains, modifies and supports the central infrastructure of the SAP application, including software logistics, environment maintenance, and environment tuning and troubleshooting.
- Works on the basics of system management and collaborates with the database administration team to ensure the stability of the database.
- Identify reporting needs and create reports specific for security quality assurance and management
- Detect security vulnerabilities assessing Intranet and Internet within the web-based SAP applications
- Assists in system performance tuning and database reorganization and helps drive design and construction of the SAP technical architecture.
- Implementation and maintenance of SAP portal security best practices related to SAP ECC 6.0 and web based functionality
- Works with the Information Technology Service Delivery teams for ERP to develop appropriate security controls and feedback on custom security requirements
- Acts as the Security liaison with ERP Security team to document issues, gaps and resolutions
- Acts as the Security liaison with Audit Services; implementing application Audit procedures
- Resolves complex SAP security issues following the appropriate processes
- Actively participate in development and documentation of BI 7.02 security policies, standards and guidelines for SAP ERP platforms and systems environments.
- Provide best practice design, maintenance, and review techniques for ERP portal security
- Proactively implements, supports and executes GRC Tools
- Ensures best practice security design and maintenance strategies for the county.
- Stays informed about the latest information security developments
- Effectively communicates with clients, peers and supervision by blending appropriate levels of technical and business detail to ensure issues are thoroughly understood by his/her audience.
- Acts in a support role for SAP troubleshooting across the ERP environment with emphasis on support of Solution Manager and CRM 7.0EhP1 software tools.
- Identifies processes and procedures that streamline and reduce costs
- Participates in managing and improving costs of budgeted Capital and Operational and Maintenance activities for Basis Operations.
- Ability to work collaboratively across project teams
- Ability to achieve results towards deadlines and deliverables
- Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

- SAP Security Certification,
- Bachelor's degree in computer science
- CISSP or equivalent (Preferred)
- Proficient using CRM 7.0 EhP1, BI 7.02
- Mandatory Experience: 5 to 7 years of SAP Security experience

Special Qualifications:
A successful academic or work background indicating a demonstrated ability to absorb information, apply conceptual skills in practical applications, achieve desired results in a highly technical operating environment. Incumbent must effectively deal with the rapid technological and business change while maintaining enthusiasm and displaying sound judgment and common sense.

Senior level position has responsibility for hands-on system administration tasks and coordination of maintenance activities.
