SAP Retail Solution Architect - 9 Months, Brussels

KEY TASKS:

Analyze requirements and check feasibility

Define, develop, design and document the IT solution compliant with security and governance rules, policies and standards while remaining in line with the business requirements

Validate the detailed design and eventually the implementation of the IT solution in order to ensure that current and future business needs are covered and the IT solution is compliant with the architectural framework.

Design future proof and scalable solutions

Liaise closely with the IT Architecture Team to ensure the integration of the various roadmaps from a strategic architecture point of view

Explore technical and architecture options based on platform requirements and present solution approach options to the team

Define the architecture target state and roadmap for a specific business/technology domain.

Consult operating unit Business on overall Portfolio and Investment plans based on the Architecture Roadmap

Build solid communication channels with the key business stakeholders

Collaborate with the IT development team and the IT Infrastructure team to assure architectural solution is suitably translated into effectual and robust implementation

EXPERIENCE:

Substantial project experience in large SAP programmes

In-depth knowledge of business process management related to his/her domain

Possess an expert knowledge in software development tools, practices, and life cycle methodologies

Experience of complex IT landscapes

Proven experience as IT Architect and/or IT solution designer

Clearly demonstrate expertise in project management, escalation, process management and business systems requirements definition

Effective in delivering presentations and running meetings

Experience of non-SAP solutions in the merchandising domain (price/promotion optimization, assortment optimization), the Hadoop Big Data stack, Forecast & Replenishment or WMS domains

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Understanding of potential impacts on cross functional processes

Very Good Knowledge of SAP Retail and Hands on experience in respective SAP Modules:

Knowledge of BI, Big Data, merchandising solutions, E-commerce or other digital applications would be an asset

Excellent command of Microsoft solutions (Office, Project, Visio)

Knowledge of integration points of SAP ECC with other critical applications: WMS, E-commerce, store applications etc..

The position might require travelling (Europe) up to 30% depending on the nature and the duration of the assigned projects/work.
