SAP Lead Technical BI/BW/BOBJ Architect - DoD Clearance Job

SAP LEAD TECHNICAL BI/BW/BOBJ ARCHITECT needed for a contract opportunity for Yoh's client in located Alexandria, Virginia.

POSSESSION OF A SECRET DOD CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED (INTERIM IS ACCEPTABLE) AS A CONDITION FOR EMPLOYMENT.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Lead Technical Architect will work with the program and project managers and the technical lead to architect and design the EBI environment utilizing BW and Business Objects software for the government approved requirements.
- This includes creating best practices, data aggregation strategies, master data definitions, technical documentation, data extract procedures and the integration of the EBI with external programs' SAP and non-SAP BW systems.
- Participate in strategic assessments and design reviews to validate enterprise approach and associated work products.
- Provide subject matter expertise in using SAP Business Objects in an OLAP (SAP BW) environment by defining best practices, performance tuning and defining the guidelines for proper usage of SAP Business Objects tool in a SAP BW environment.
- Develop and maintain the overall technical architecture and standards for SAP Business Information Warehouse and Business Objects BI platform
- Responsible in providing SAP architectural guidance and provide technical assistance for the design, build, and test of content deployed through the SAP BI/BOBJ 4.1, SAP BW 7.4
- Work from the functional/business requirements to design and develop BW objects (install standard objects, enhance existing objects, and create custom objects) like info objects, business content, info sources, data targets, transfer rules, update rules, etc.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- SECURITY + CERTIFICATION
- Education/Training/Certifications: B.S. in Computer Information Systems or related field is required. Secret Clearance (Interim Secret Clearance already granted will be accepted), Security Plus Certification Experience Required:
- Minimum five (5) plus years of experience architecting, developing and implementing SAP BW/BOBJ business reporting systems/solutions
- Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing concepts and methodologies
- Ability to gather business requirements and translate them to technical requirements/solution design
- Strong understanding and experience with SAP BI BOBJ reporting and analytical tools such as Universes/InfoView/Webi, Dashboards and Crystal Reports. Advanced knowledge of configuring BW data objects
- Advanced knowledge of BW Extractors from the SAP system
- Working knowledge of SAP structures, object dependencies and tables.
- Strong expertise in BEX query development
- Strong understanding of SAP end-to-end data flows and interactions between one SAP module and others
- Knowledge of SAP ISU for Utilities Solution
- Experience in BW system upgrades
- Custom ABAP development skills
- Web Services development experience with BW
- Experience in SAP BO 4.1
- Knowledgeable in SAP BW Accelerator
- Expertise in problem analysis and performance tuning
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively express complex technical concepts. The ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) and to translate technical terminology in terms understandable to non-technical employees is necessary
