SAP Inventory Analyst

DESCRIPTION:
Work with the SAP solutions team for distribution, third party provider, integration team and Middleware team and perform testing via SAP using IDOCs, using our Logistic Service Provider (LSP) global model in SAP.
Develops solutions to complex problems that require the use of ingenuity and creativity and implement SAP Inventory Management enhancements as directed by client requests.
Writing test cases, setting up test data and performing test cases around SAP Inventory Management.
Developing training material, exercises and assessments for existing or new functionality.
Providing SAP WM training to our clients.
Troubleshoot and research issues as reported by clients.
Provide necessary technical expertise toward problem resolution and recommend system changes when needed.
Design and develop changes focused on specific problems within existing system design.
Maintain validation documentation and SOLMAN documentation required by the project.
Provides sophisticated technical and/or project leadership for complex multi-technology, cross-functional projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:
BS/BA degree with 5 years' experience or relevant industry experience in lieu of a degree.
The candidate must possess advanced knowledge of SAP Inventory Management, Sales and Distribution and IDOCs with SAP 6.0 or higher and 5 years' experience.
Strong analytical and technical skills along with excellent written and oral communication abilities.
Experience with Service center and HP Quality center.

SKILLS:

Materials Management - Inventory Management experience required.

The Candidate should be knowledgeable of standard Inventory Management functionality (6.0 or better), Sales and Distribution configuration, IDOC Processing and familiarity with Quality management and EDI processing. This person should also have knowledge of handling unit management and batch management experience. The person should have experience with data mapping exercises with interfaces using IDOCs and working with Middleware personnel. The candidate should have good communication skills and writing skills to be able to write technical specifications, data mapping documents and training documentation as well as be able to give training and work with developers. This person should have been through multiple SAP implementations.
