SAP Integration/Data Architect - 12 month Fixed-Term Contract
€65,000 - €75,000 per annum + Benefits
Italian or Spanish Skills are desirable
My client, a high-end International Luxury Goods organisation is now embarking into a significant innovation programme to fully align its IT capabilities to its ambitious business expansion objectives. They are now looking for a SAP Integration Data Architect to join their team in Milan, Italy.
As a SAP Integration/Data Architect you will be acting as the ultimate design authority for all solutions that might be entirely implemented within SAP or distributed into various external systems and consequently glued together via a robust integration layer.
The ideal candidate should have a strong and extensive programming experience primarily in ABAP but also, preferably, in other languages not SAP related (eg Java, C, C++, etc.)
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in a leading role in multiple design activities, from requirements analysis to systems, application and/or process design specification, and then assuring the correct ensuing implementation.
Coordinate and nurture a pool of SAP ABAP programmers and SAP configurators. Coaching them into best practices and being proactive in their skills developments.
Design and maintain our overall SAP Architecture from a functional, data and an integration perspective, with the overarching aim of blending it with other Legacy and external applications where necessary.
As our chief SAP technical expert, you are expected to act as a centre of expertise in your field, staying abreast of developments in the SAP space
Key skills and experience.
Deep knowledge of the overall SAP architecture and its various modules from a functional, data and programming/configuration point of view.
Experience in designing complex interfaces, using SAP PI/PO, SAP SOA, B2B integration.
Deep understanding of integration aspects within cross- SAP modules and non-SAP applications
Experience in implementing large and complex SAP Projects, where functional and data integration with external systems played an important challenge.
Integration data and designing architecture to meet company-wide business requirements
Knowledge of other solution modelling techniques (E-R, OO, UML, etc.), software methodologies (RUP, Agile, RAD, etc.), architectures styles such as SOA, RESTful/SOAP, enterprise integration patterns, etc.
