SAP Financials Specialist

Looking for an experienced SAP Financials (FI) Specialist for a 12 month contract opportunity in the ACT with a large government department.

The SAP Maintenance and Support Team requires the engagement of an advanced SAP Financials (FI) Specialist to enhance capability to meet the demands on the SAP Support team to meet current and schedule work programmes.

The Successful candidate will be required to provide the necessary operational support required for the implementation of SAP Quarterly releases, SAP support packs and SAP BAU, enhancements and proposed project work through:

- Provide expert knowledge of SAP Financials Modules, including: General Ledger (FI-GL) including Electronic Bank Statements, Accounts Payable (FI-AP), Fixed Assets (FI-FA), Cost Centre Accounting (CO-CCA), Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), Internal Order Accounting, Profit Centre Accounting (EC-PCA), Purchasing (MM).
- Provide system expertise for configuring the SAP ECC6 FI, CO and MM applications.
- Utilise their excellent understanding of accounting concepts and financials systems processing.
- Utilise their expert knowledge of SAP financial modules and reporting (including FI, CO, MM,(Purchasing) and BI) and their connectivity with other SAP modules (financial, HR and SRM) and financial systems.
- Utilise their system experience within SAP landscapes the development cycle, including testing of changes and change control processes.
- Utilise their experience and knowledge of the principles and best practices for the delivery of reports and reporting requirements.
- Utilise their understanding of the Australian Government and the clients financial framework.
- Carry out system assurances.
- Utilise their experience in developing, testing and implementing SAP system changes.
- Utilise their experience and working knowledge of Public Sector accounting and/or tertiary qualifications in accounting are highly desirable.
- Utilise their expert experience in designing and implementing SAP solutions.
