SAP FI Consultant GL for EU Project

IDPP is urgently looking for a SAP FI consultant with experience in SAP's new G/L for a European based project.

Start: ASAP
Duration: 6 months
Location: Netherlands, France, Ireland and occaisional travel to other EU countries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide day-to-day support to SAP FI users
- Contribute to projects where SAP FI plays an important role (eg SAP roll-out Europe, implementation BCS, integration new Tax system, implementation SAP Treasury)
- Advise on best usage of FI, and coach/train one or two colleagues in the business systems team to increase their independency regarding this functional area.
- Where necessary customize/develop FI solutions and/or interfaces to fit requirements
- Produce and maintain appropriate documentation on FI processes, customizations, enhancements, etc.
- Ensure effective communication within the team

KEY SKILLS

- Strong functional knowledge of SAP FI, including SAP's new G/L
- SAP FI Customizing
- Basic understanding of SAP's Authorization concept in order to effectively liaise with Basis Team
- Knowledge of SEM-BCS and BW is an advantage.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES

- Languages: English (both spoken and written)
- Strong finance background, chartered accounting qualifications are preferred
- Worked on SAP FI projects in an international environment
- Experience with IFRS, SOX, US-GAAP
- Be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with
- ABAP is an advantage
- Able to produce Functional and Technical Specifications
