SAP Enterprise Architect

This is a 12 month contract opportunity with long term potential.Overview

Our Client requires an SAP Enterprise Architect to act as a thought leader for the design implementation and integration into the SAP environment.Role and Responsibilities

The SAP Enterprise Architect may work with projects or with operational staff to ensure that the integrated solution designs that take data into and out of the SAP environments are built in such a way as to ensure sustainability, robustness and dependability.

The SAP Enterprise Architect will have an understanding of, and a bias to, Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) design. The individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to solve issues related to the deployment software and focus on continuity of operations of mission-critical SAP solutions.

Responsibilities will include:

- Work with business units and client engagement team and the Centre of Excellence to align business capability plans with SAP solution roadmap
- Ensure that project, and sustainment, integrated design models are in compliance with the principles and goals in the SAP environments.
- Ensure the quality of, and sign-off of Integration designs proposed by project teams.
- Review technology and project upgrades for non SAP technologies integrated with SAP, to ensure the technical and business upgrades have no material impact on SAP architectures.
- Recommend any additional hardware or software requirements needed for successful SAP deployments, configuration, or maintenance.
- Evaluate proposals in order to identify potential problem areas, and make the appropriate recommendations
- Prepare and deliver activity and progress reports for presentation to the Senior Management Team.
- Coordinate feasibility studies for SAP products under consideration for purchase and their fit to the existing and planned information systems landscape.

Qualifications
Required Skills:

- BUSINESS PROCESS DESIGN: Knows business process design; has mastered re-engineering concepts/methods/tools; can assess implications of re-engineering for multiple functions/departments; participates in design/implementation of supporting org structure
- RISK MANAGEMENT (Expert): Can implement function-wide processes/tools; in-depth knowledge of a risk assessment model/analysis tools/processes; identify key benefits/drawbacks/rationale/benchmarks/model pros/cons; knows cross-function processes/tools/audit
- VALUE MANAGEMENT (Expert): Identify effectiveness/completeness of business/tech strategies; align with cross-org strategies; know how to assess benefits/costs/risks on multiple projects; conduct value assessments using value mngmnt tools/job aids
- Architecture Certification (ITAC)
- The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)
- College diploma or university degree in Information Systems
- Experience working with Information Technology in the Oil & Gas industry
- Experience in at least two IT disciplines (such as technical architecture, network management, application development, Middleware, information analysis, database management or operations) in a multitier environment
- Experience in estimating the social & financial impact of architecture alternatives
- Familiarity with basic information management practices
- Ability to understand the political environment of the enterprise & how to navigate political barriers
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in areas such as team work, facilitation & negotiation

- MicroSoft Office.
