SAP Data Migration Lead

My client a leading QLD employer is looking for an SAP Data Migration Consultant to join their team on a 6 month contract basis.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:

To provide SAP Data Migration consultancy in the migration of data for my clients ERP Program. The following services are expected from this role:

- Assist in communication and implementation of Data Migration Strategy.
- Develop, manage and deliver in the areas of
- Assist in the development of data migration functional specifications
- Develop Data load routines using SAP core tools
- Assist the business and internal project teams in completing the data collection through to reconciliation after data loading.
- Communicate with the business and internal project teams while defining the data management specification.
- Provide SAP data migration skill set and knowledge to participating multi-disciplinary internal project teams
- Proactively and operationally deliver data migration consultancy to support my clients business and ICT needs for the ERP Program
- Facilitate the data requirements for my clients new ERP/Property system by liaising with the Data Migration Lead, relevant leads and IT staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:

- Data Migration activities
- Provide expert data migration services in the area of SAP Plant Maintenance (1 role), including data cleansing whilst ensuring its alignment with the enterprise solution development and infrastructure standards.
- Specify the technical requirements for
- data loading.
- Develop functional specifications for specific data.
- Design and assist the business in data reconciliation
- Perform the following data migration activities along with conceptual modelling:
- data mapping
- Loading of transformed data
- Reconciliation of data and delivery of the relevant artefacts in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate effective management techniques in organising and coordinating complex data tasks.
- Develop, manage and deliver data loads using SAP data load tools

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated experience and substantial knowledge in provision of data migration services in a complex, multi-disciplinary organisation.
- Proven experience in the provision of data migration services in the area of SAP over multiple SAP data migration assignments
- Proven experience in the development of data load tools using LSMW and other SAP data loading tools
- Proven experience gained within a multi-disciplinary function including the ability to provide and seek expert advice, coordinate and manage data migration activities and resources effectively to achieve work goals to meet deadlines and commitments, and establish and monitor outcomes that meet customer and organisational requirements.
