Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Degree or equivalent experience - IT, Computer Science, Engineering or Finance related with over 5 years SAP project delivery experience
- Strong background in SAP and understands the change and release lifecycl
- Demonstrable knowledge of project methodologies and frameworks such as ASAP and Prince 2
- Prior experience of a global SAP programme rollout - ideally having delivered at least 1 Global implementation through working in a project management/delivery role
- Experience of managing large operational teams - some of which may be based offshore (deployment ~70 staff)
- High attention to detail and able to drive into the technical detail (not only the applications but of data, infrastructure, environments, etc.).
- Must be able to create detailed plans down to a low level of detail and minute-by-minute tracking of progress.
- Tenacity is essential as the SAP cutover manager would have to get tough with suppliers and internal staff to ensure things gets done.
- Tight management of risks and issues.
- Has had responsibility for both IT and Business team members within a complete project team, demonstrating techniques for the appropriate management of key stakeholders.
- Technical/functional experience of SAP is a distinct advantage, with the ideal candidate having come from a design/development background in an SAP area
- Must demonstrate the ability to manage high pressure projects
- Proven experience in managing third party service providers, including systems integrators, software and hardware vendors etc.
- Exceptional communication skills including coordination/facilitation skills, good personal presentation, oral and written communication
