SAP BW/MIDDLE LAYER SOLUTIONS SPECIALIST - BASEL - 12 MONTHS +

A SAP BW/Middle Layer Solutions Specialist is required for a minimum of 12 months in Basel, Switzerland.

The ideal SAP BW/Middle Layer Solutions Specialist will be needed for the following;

Task description:

-If you think of Excel as informal desktop reporting, and BW as formal enterprise data warehousing, WE'RE LOOKING TO ROLL OUT SOLUTIONS SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN, eg, database-driven, but with FLEXIBLE DATA LAYERS THAT ARE BUSINESS-OWNED (vs. IT) to allow greater flexibility in meeting volatile customer requirements.
-Qlikview is an example of a middle layer technology. We're not planning to roll out Qlikview, but a candidate familiar with this tool, or HANA solutions aimed at similar outcomes is ideal.
-Tableau experience would be useful as we're planning to roll this out as the Front End technology for most of our solutions.
-Very customer oriented. The solutions we'll roll out are fast-paced and used by demanding/senior customers.
- Enhancements for existing solutions.
- Working with business on reducing the existing backlog in BW. Identifying requests, priorities and putting enhancements in place.
- The candidate will do about 50% middle layer activities and the other 50% split into various BW activities of ad-hoc reporting with either BW-BO tools or Tableau as a Front End. So there is still a strong BW background needed
- We are here on business side, building is done in IT

Skills:

- SAP BW Expert
- Qlickview or any similar middle layer technology is a must
- good excel competences
- Tableau experience is desirable
- HANA exposure is desirable
- Candidate needs to be a good listener/communicator.
