SAP BW expert sizing mission in Belgium
I am looking for a client a SAP BW expert sizing for a one week mission in Belgium.
Scope:
A hardware change pre-study will done by a SAP BW expert that will guide the company to order the right sized new hardware with eventually recommendations for SAP BW extensions (eg BI Accelerator) so that the company could cover the BW upcoming needs for the 4 next years.
The pre-study done by the SAP BW expert will be composed by the following 3 steps:
- An audit of the actual usage of our BW environment. This audit mission must not only measure the actual load but also provide if needed
-An interview process of the different stakeholders to evaluate the new needs. BW Functional teams (2 teams) will give their input during a sizing interview
-Summarize the points here above and integrate them to cover the hardware requirements described here below.
The requirements this hardware must fulfil are:
1. It must be powerful enough to give an answer to the actual workload issues
2. It must be powerful enough based prorate on the today known upcoming projects to resist on 4 years load growth
3. New hardware must be ready for an upgrade from SAP BW 7.01 to 7.4 and an Oracle Upgrade from version 10.2.04 to 11.2.0.3
In addition, this pre-study consultancy mission should give us guidelines (Pros/Cons) for a full or partial migration under VMWare knowing Oracle/VMWare certification issue and the SAP position on it.
NB: The load must be calculated on the two windows here below:
o Night/W-E window: dedicated to Data uploads
o Working hours window: dedicated to reporting
Evaluation if a concurrent work (Uploads/End-users reports) during working hours with the new hardware could be possible.
