SAP Businessobjects Business Intelligence (BI) Consultant

Link Technologies is seeking to augment our clients SAP Support Center with SAP consulting services to enhance our client's abilities to address user/systems issues in the area of SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0 Dashboards.  

The Consultant will augment the responsibilities as listed below and follow appropriate procedures and protocols in the addressing of design issues quickly based on established protocols and procedures, agreed upon time frames for completion, and agreed upon design. A crucial goal of the services contract is to provide the client with the ability to become increasingly self-sufficient.

Initial Period of Performance: approximately 480 hours over the next 3 months on a Full time basis (start date of approximately 8/5/13); with options to renew as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- The candidate(s) must have a proven functional and technical background, with at least 8 years of experience in SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and five years of experience implementing the SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI);
- Completed a minimum of three SAP BusinessObjects Xcelsius/Dashboards full life cycle implementations;
- 5 to 7 years of experience of SAP BusinessObjects Xcelsius/Dashboards development with SAP BW BEx queries as a data source;
- Advanced Knowledge of SAP BI Suite;
- Knowledge of SAP Enterprise Core Component (ECC) Financials (FI) ;
- Knowledge of ECC Human Capital Management (HCM) ;
- Sound Knowledge of SAP Business Explorer (BEx);
- Sound knowledge of SAP Information Design Tool (IDT);
- Sound knowledge of BI Central Management Console (CMC);
- Have good SAP project management skills and experience following SAP Best Practices;
- Bring best practice approaches to the Team to consider in a variety of areas including migration, testing, design, prototyping, training, defining support procedures, etc.;
- Ability to trouble-shoot issues, including the ability to conduct related research and work with the Team to raise SAP Customer messages as needed;
- Experience with writing blueprint documents, configuration documents, and related customer documentation to be used for future reference;

- Good facilitation skills.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES WORK

- Train existing Performance Measurement Liaison on loading KPI's into SAP Enterprise Core Component (ECC) Controlling Module (CO) using transaction code KB31N. Training will include both the manual entry of KPI's and the batch uploading of KPI's via Microsoft Excel
- Configure the 0CO_OM_CCA_4 DataSource to extract said  KPI's  from ECC
- Develop the Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) of the SAP Business Warehouse (BW) 0CCA_C03 InfoCube
- Develop custom SAP Business Warehouse Business Explorer (BEx) queries presenting Departmental KPI's
- Gather each Department's KPI Dashboard requirements
- Develop SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0 Dashboards based upon gathered requirements
- Publish SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0 Dashboards to the SAP BusinessObjects Platform

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

- 8 years jof experience in SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and five years of experience implementing the SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI);
- Completed a minimum of three SAP BusinessObjects Xcelsius/Dashboards full life cycle implementations;
- 5 to 7 years of experience of SAP BusinessObjects Xcelsius/Dashboards development with SAP BW BEx queries as a data source;
