SAP BI Consultant (BW/BO) - English Speaking. Lisbon, Portugal. 6 Mont

My client based in Lisbon, Portugal, requires an English speaking Junior SAP BI Consultant (BW/BO) to join them on a 6 month contract (with possible extension).

DESCRIPTION:

You will join a team of IT professionals involved in the Reporting solution delivery and maintenance activities of corporate solutions covering the General Accounting and Investment Accounting functions of the group.

The Reporting common platform holds Reporting solution for General Accounting and Investment accounting needs, incorporating Country requirements in the solution, with the goal of achieving harmonization of KPI´s concepts across Live countries.

The current scope under Reporting covers several countries across Europe.

The Reporting tool used to build Reports is Business Objects - BI 4.x

The reporting tool used for ETL and Datawarehouse is BW 7.3

The reporting solution is also used as a feeder to Country Local Datawarehouses.

The common platform ensures consistency and uniformization across all interfaces, sources and destination applications.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The BI team member will:

- Be able to analyse/understand business requirements, conduct meetings with business, translating functional requirements into technical definitions;
- Be able to access impacts on already set-up data model, incorporating new datamodels/changes, guaranteeing no regression on performance and data;
- Plan and manage activities in the SAP BI area in an international environment operating with onsite and offsite teams;
- Inform the Reporting lead on resolution status and actions undertaken;
- Interact with the other teams, assuming a pro-active role to monitor, follow-up and find an arbitration point between all teams;
- Support the REP lead ensuring the Customers expectations and satisfaction goals are met;
- Be accountable for solving assigned incidents and assure that the incident resolution is taking into account the service level agreement;
- Be part of a BI team, through solution delivery or maintenance activities.

PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL SKILLS

- At least 4 years experience working with SAP BW and proven experience in BO;
- Interest in technical and state of the art SAP datawarehouse areas such as HANA/Performance best practices;
- Proactivity and results orientation are a must;
- Use of Inbound and Outbound interfaces, through APD´s or Open Hubs;
- Experience in maintaining or implementing solutions around BI:
- Experience with BEx Reporting Tool;
- Experience with BW/BO integration;
- Experience with BW 7.3;
- Experience with HANA (optional).
- Experience of working alongside internal and external providers in an international context;
- Degree in a relevant area, such as, Computer Science, Management;
- Ability to travel.

LANGUAGES:

- Must speak, read and write fluently in English
