SAP BI Consultant/Architect - English Speaker

Next Ventures is currently looking for a SAP BI Consultant/Architect for a role based in Amsterdam.

SCOPE:

The Functional Consultant/Solution Architect BI reporting to a Centre of Excellence (CoE) Manager

Supports the designing, building and delivering of expertise and support to projects related to the Analytics domain. The majority of the time, the FC will be involved as solution architect in multiple analytics projects focussing on Operating Company (OpCo) specific solutions.

Analytical Solutions are created on a central Analytics Platform. This central platform is based on SAP BW4HANA, SAP HANA Native, Hortonworks Hadoop, SAP Business Objects and Microsoft PowerBI. On the central platform, central programs create core data models. These core data models are made available to the OpCo's via these programs. However, there is a need by the OpCo's to have the ability to have the ability to customize the core models to match their local specific requirements as well as the ability to create additional data models not covered by the central programs. The Solution Architect needs to guide the OpCo development team in using the platform as well as how to interact with the core models. The Solution Architect will work with the local team designing the solutions, support in execution and running the solution. The Solution Architect will work with the other Solution Architects of the platform to maintain and develop new guidelines. Occasionally, the solution architect will be required to develop and demo Proof of Concepts.

Required Skills:

The Consultant/Architect will be responsible for the design and built of Analytics Solutions taking into account the life cycle management of specific applications that are in scope of the Centre of Excellence and has a role in projects related to the implementation and changing of those solutions. The FC actively seeks for improvement opportunities in business processes and IT enablement.

Within any activity, the Consultant/Architect will need to manage; project-related items within the allocated tasks to his/her area of expertise in accordance with GIS project management standards. Within the area of expertise a Consultant/Architect may also be allocated and expected to manage project tasks on the assigned activities based on content, availability and project characteristics like scope, complexity and throughput time.

The Functional Consultant/Solution Architect BI is expected to:

Design new Analytical solutions and take the technical end-to-end responsibility during the implementation phase ensuring the solution will meet the technical and business requirements

Understand the end-to-end service not just the technical or functional components and business impact from a user's perspective

Develop win-win, collaborative relations that add clear value to all internal and external stakeholders

Understand and interpret financial information to ensure value driven decision are made and the impact to the organisation clearly articulated

Actively embrace and promote change, especially from a business perspective

Lead by example and actively engage and motivate individuals around them

The ideal candidate has:

3-5 years' experience required in a similar role/a complex international environment/FMCG industry

Strong experience in and expert knowledge of HANA (Native) processes

Strong experience in and expert knowledge of SAP BW processes

Strong experience in and expert knowledge of SAP ETL processes (SLT, SDI, BODS)

Start date: Immediate

Languages: English (Dutch is a bonus but not mandatory)

Location: Amsterdam

Duration: 6 months

Rate: €600 per day
