SAP Basis Lead

RED is searching for an SAP Basis consultant with around 6-7 years' experience for an initial 15 month contract opportunity located in New York City.

The ideal consultant will have experience with SAP ECC 6.0, Solution Manager, Enterprise Portals in zLinux environment, as well as:
* Experience in system monitoring and performance tuning
* Experience in software installation
* Experience in monitoring ABAP dumps and database locks
* Experience in using Solution Manager for overall system monitoring and CCMS
* Experience in Kernel updates, support package application, plug-ins updates, landscape management, transports, printer setups, hand held device configuration
and troubleshooting, etc.
* Work closely with the other Vendors within NYPD to ensure that the database and zLinux are performing optimally.
* Experience in creating client copies and deletes as needed
* Experience in restoring production back to QA as needed for ECC
* Perform SAP upgrades and new implementations as and when required.
