SAP Basis CRM Engineer Oracle Technical OS/DB Migrations AIX ITIL (Netherlands)

Role description:
- Main task is to write run books for the SAP CRM upgrade and executing these run books in many cycles (rehearsals). The run books describe how to install the SAP enhancement packs on the SAP CRM environment (very important environment!).
- The engineer is involved in the development of cutover plans that include downtime-minimized approaches and disaster recovery tests.
- The engineer will interface heavily with the company IT Infrastructure teams such as hardware provisioning, security, network and database support.
- The engineer will also interface with process and application teams, such as transition to support (T2S), application support and other functional teams The engineer will take the lead in the technical part of the SAP CRM upgrade project and advice the project manager.
- The engineer is able to represent the project team in meetings with and to communicate to the customer teams. Application support and functional teams act under the customer responsibility; the engineer will represent the company in these contacts.
- The engineer will also support basic systems administration, system refreshes, tuning and supporting the SAP applications while the systems are not in operational support.
- The engineer works structured and is self engaged; detects customer specific needs and issues, and is experienced to advise how to solve these issues to avoid delay of the project.
- The engineer works according to change management standards, adheres to internal company procedures and has good business and customer understanding.
- There will be a senior SAP solution architect (who did the SAP CRM upgrade last years) available to train the engineer on the customer SAP CRM environment and to later on support and perform quality assurance the engineer for ~4 hours per week.

Requirements:
- SAP certified basis engineer (System Administration (Oracle DB), OS/DB Migration for SAP );
- SAP CRM experience;
- > 7 years experience in SAP Basis, experience with SAP CRM (technical side) and experience with large and complex technical updates;
- Onsite presence at the company in The Hague to work with the SAP team of several engineers working together;
- Full time availability;
- Fluent in English, verbal and written;
- Experienced working with this SAP environment;
- Solid knowledge of operation systems (preferably IBM AIX);
- Solid knowledge of Oracle databases;
- Bachelors degree level education required, more advanced education preferred (masters);
- Experience with migration of complex application landscapes;
- In depth knowledge of ITIL processes;
- Solid knowledge of project management methods.
- Full availability during SAP migration weekends: development May 9 & 10, June 20 & 21, pre-production September 26 & 27, production (4 eyes principle onsite) October 17 & 18.
