SAP Basis consultants - Brisbane, Adelaide and Canberra

My client, one of the 4 largest consulting groups in the world, is now wanting to hire under 12 months contracts, several BASIS consultants, who will be involved in planning and implementation of SAP systems upgrades, hot packages and Kernel upgrades

You will need:

Extensive SAP Basis experience;

Possess the ability to analyse situations and provide problem resolution;

Implementation experience on least 3 full cycle SAP projects with the relevant modules;

A minimum of 5-10 years SAP experience;

Integration experience between multiple SAP modules;

Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements and design;

Ability to deliver business requirements using standard SAP functionality;

Ability to rigorously test system solutions with real business scenarios;

Ability to work in a continually changing environment;

Ability to work closely with colleagues and in a team environment;

Excellent analytical and communication skills including the ability to articulate IT trends to management and staff;

Ability to adapt and apply existing techniques and methodologies;

Demonstrated experience in training and knowledge transfer;

Your tasks will include and not be limited to:

Updating of the existing SAP environment and work with IT and business units to modernize the SAP environment;

Analyse situations and provide problem resolution;

Implement and maintain the multiple SAP instances that comprise the SAP environment (development, test, training and production);

Prepare technical specifications;

Introduce technical changes into the environment using a structured approach that minimizes risk and achieves high reliability, availability and performance of each SAP instance;

Design and implement an optimal SAP configuration to maximize system performance and availability;

Install and configure all required SAP database Servers and application Servers;

Distribute the online SAP user workload and monitor and manage the SAP background job workload;

Monitor all SAP systems (work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space, etc.);

Perform SAP client administration (create client, copy client, delete client, export/import client) as required;

Participate in the planning and implementation of SAP system upgrades;

Apply and migrate SAP maintenance (hot packages and Kernel upgrades) through all systems using a structured methodology;

Provide status reports for projects to management;

Provide maintenance and support after go-live.

Daily rates will typically be circa Au 700-800 day, and you must be a PR or a citizen to be considered
