SAP BASIS CONSULTANT - BUCKINGHAMSHIRE, UK - START:10TH AUGUST 2015. 6 MONTH CONTRACT

Our client in Buckinghamshire, UK is looking for an SAP Basis Consultant

JOB DESCRIPTION:
* Minimum 5 years SAP Basis experience
* Strong experience with SAP upgrades (Version, EHP, SPS, Java SP)
* Business suite, SAP Netweaver installation experience along with its preparation, post processing steps
* Extensive knowledge required for handling system migration activities
* Strong Portal, J2EE administration skills
* Strong experience with Oracle DB administration and MS-SQL Admin Skills
* Extensive knowledge required for performance tuning
* Administration skills required for background jobs, spools, User, Dump analysis, SAP-DB parameters

* Knowledge on integration with multiple SAP, SAP to Non SAP
* Life Science or Pharmaceutical experience
* Hands on Experience in TDMS, Solution Manager, GRC
* Expertise in Disaster Recovery
* Good Knowledge in Unix Scripts
* Very good experience in ECC, SCM, PI, BI
* Expertise in Hardware upgrade and migration, data centre move
* Should be good in documentation and testing

* Proven stakeholder management skills across technical and functional decision makers
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
* A team player that has the drive to continuously improve processes, standards used for SAP monitoring, support, upgrade, implementation, quality standards (QMS), SOX, GxP and other regulatory requirements
* A close relationship with different vendor teams and project team members in a changing environment, driven by growth ambitions and high quality requirements

* Work proactively with business partners to look for SAP opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity in SAP business areas. Apply process simplification and usage of SAP technology. Develop growth opportunities into robust business cases and drive solutions
* Become a member of a growing team of SAP internal and off-shore consultants (located at multiple sites). Provide technical guidance for SAP change developments and implementations while working hands-on configuration and documentation
* Deliver high quality designs for new and existing processes by capturing the business requirements and translating them into robust solutions
* Liaise with relevant business functions across all SAP sites to maintain a detailed and current working knowledge of their organization, processes, priorities and system needs
* Manage and work on multiple projects and work items according to agreed priorities, eg Roll out of the existing template across multiple sites
* Analyse and understand underlying cause of predominantly third line, highly complex SAP fix on fail issues raised by the business.
* Assist and support the SAP CoE management in planning releases by providing resource and development estimates. Maintain IT and functional peer relationships across the organization.
