SAP BASIS CONSULTANT - BRUSSELS, BELGIUM

LANGUAGES: ENGLISH with FRENCH and/or DUTCH

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in working as SAP-BC consultant in a business critical IT services support team
- Minimum 5 years in the following domains:
- Upgrades, system copies, SAP installs
- BW en/of PI/PO installations
- Minimum 2 years in the following domains:
- Solaris
- Linux
- Other SAP BC nice-to-have technical skills:
- BI/BW(loads, jobs, RFC, etc.)
- HANA
- Solution Manager
- SAP Portal
- CRM
- ECC 6.0
- PI/PO
- Web dispatchers
- IDES
- APO (Automatic Planning Optimization) installation under NT/UNIX platform
- Documentation in knowledge database
- Knowledge of ITIL processes:
- Incident management
- Problem management
- Change management
- Soft skills:
- Team player, but also able to work autonomously
- Good communications skills
- Ability to learn fast (also self-learning)
- Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
- Able to combine IQ with EQ
- Expertise is considered beneficial:
- Database Management (Oracle 10g, 11g, 12g);
- Oracle Tuning

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

- Member of a SAP system administration & support team providing business critical IT services to the customer
- Authorizations management (users, roles, jobs)
- Transport management in all SAP systems
- SAP point of Contact for all sessions related to performance, implementation etc.
- Provide technical advice for design and implementation of new components
- Daily monitoring and performance check
- Clients and systems copies
- Trace and identify performance issue to be reported to SAP Support
- Manage all SAP devices (Printers, copiers, e-mailing etc.)
- Prepare statistics and reporting for SAP Production.
- Surveillance, reporting and propose actions regarding:
- Availability
- Capacity
- Performance
- EarlyWatch
