SAP BASIS ARCHITECT: NETWEAVER, SAP ABAP, JAVA, AIX, ORACLE, DB2
WESTHOUSE IS ACTIVELY SEARCHING FOR TWO SAP BASIS ARCHITECTS FOR OUR HIGH VOLUME GLOBAL CLIENT.
The SAP team in Belgium supports more than 150 SAP systems running on AIX (Oracle and DB2).
The candidate will be integrated in the third level support team and will participate actively in the coordination, support and deployment of projects. He or she will perform enhancement support package installations, upgrades and migrations of SAP systems and will give support to customers.
Knowledge of SAP ABAP and Java technology are both mandatory!
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS FOR THE SAP BASIS ARCHITECTS:
1. Experienced SAP Basis administration consultant
2. Profound knowledge of SAP NetWeaver basis layer
3. ABAP/Java technology knowledge required
4. Experience with installations, system copy, support packages, enhancement packages, installations and upgrades, ...
5. Solid experience in term of problem, performance troubleshooting, solving.
6. Experience with Unicode migrations and OS/DB migrations
7. Knowledge of SAP BO suite and SAP HANA
8. SAP certification in SAP NetWeaver and OS/DB migration is a must
9. Knowledge Sybase products is a plus
THE SAP BASIS ARCHITECTS ALSO NEED TO HAVE LEADERSHIP SKILLS:
a) Excellent problem-solving skills
b) Assess risks and criticality of issues to appropriately prioritizes issues
c) Client oriented
d) Good teaming and communication skills
e) Open to new approaches and willing to share experience with team members
f) Systematic perspective and standardized approach shouldn't be a surprise
SOME OF THE PARAMETERS FOR THE SAP BASIS ARCHITECTS ARE:
I. Fluent in English.
II. Good knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus
III. Stress resistant
IV. Flexible and willing to perform planned interventions outside of business hours
V. Participation in on-call rotation is required (+/- 1 week per quarter)
Location: Brussels
Duration: rolling freelance contract
