SAP Basis Administrator - ECC/APO/BW/Landscapes

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The SAP Basis Administrator is part of an IT and project team whose objective is to keep Bio-Rad SAP systems functioning at optimal performance, availability and efficiency.

Position Responsibilities:

The Basis Administrator will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:

Installation, configuration, maintenance and support of multiple SAP landscapes and 3rd party tools.

Optimization of the overall SAP reliability, availability and performance of the entire SAP landscape

On-call rotation to ensure 24/7 operations of these critical systems.

Promoting application and system code within the SAP landscapes and adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements such as segregation of duties.

Creating documentation for and instructing Operations staff on the SAP environment and management and operating procedures.

Automating administrative and operational functions to aid in day-to-day system support activities.

Research, identify and present opportunities to increase productivity and improve quality of SAP landscape support through emerging products, technologies, and best practices

Technical consulting support for SAP implementation project teams or sub-teams.

Provide senior-level technical hands-on support for project and production support issues.

Provide day-to-day SAP, Oracle, and infrastructure support including "best practice" procedures for SAP Oracle administration.

Perform troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues that impact system performance or availability.

Perform system refreshes for QA, development, and training systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.

Minimum 12+ years of IT experience with 10+ years of SAP Basis experience with at least three of the following products: ECC, APO, BW, GTS, PI, Solution Manager and BOBJ.

Minimum 6 years of experience with Linux and/or Unix Operating Systems and Oracle databases.
