A respected international tier-1 banking client of mine is seeking a SAP Basis Administrator for a job opportunity in Zürich.

This bank has always been at the forefront of technology advancements and development of banking applications, and they currently need a SAP Basis Administrator to implement system changes and assist with making improvements to the core infrastructure. As the SAP Basis Administrator in Zürich, you will be a part of the Operational Accounting team. Your role will primarily be focused on the administration and operation of my client's SAP System, monitoring usage and performance, and troubleshooting software as well as SAP-Kernel issues. Additionally, you will be responsible for administrating and operating the connection between the SAP and database (DB2) system.

Some key skills you will need for this role are:

- Excellent SAP Basis Administration skills, including ERP
- Good UNIX administration skills (AIX)
- Mainframe knowledge including DB2; interface knowledge for DB2 to SAP
- VMware, Backup and Recovery System administration skills would be an asset
- Fluent in English, German is an advantage

This is for a contract job with an initial duration of 12 months.
