SAP Basis Admin

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for the management of the SAP environment. The SAP Basis Administrator responsibilities include configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment on an ongoing basis as well as scheduling and executing the SAP transport system. The SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP systems. Project is a SAP upgrade project ERP, from 6 to 7, and CRM to 3.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support technical upgrade of EHP6 for ERP/EHP2 for CRM to the latest SAP Enhancement Pack release.
- Requirements Analysis: Work with the Basis team to successfully upgrade all systems within the landscape.
- Document: Provide technical documentation of all upgrade steps.
- Perform all tasks in compliance with the company and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
- Implement: Work independently while completing tasks on or ahead of schedule.

SKILLS:

REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum of 5 years Basis Administration experience.
- Must have Unix AIX (IBM) experience.
- Must understand SAP.
- Oracle (+).
- Experience running SAP in AIX/Oracle environment.
- Experience using the SAP SUM tool to perform ABAP based upgrades.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in a production support environment.
- Must be skilled in both oral and written communications.
- Understanding of Solution Manager, LMDB and Maintenance Optimizer tools.
