We are currently looking for an SAP Architect with Logistics Experience.

Start: ASAP

Duration: 12 Months + Extensions

Location: 4 days in Tongeren, Belgium/1 day Purmerend, NL

Language: English (Dutch is an Advantage)

SAP Architect with Logistics Experience Needed

Job Spec:

Summary: Looking for a Principle SAP logistics Consultant, who will assist us with our core initiative "move European SAP landscape into Global SAP landscape", as well as smaller initiatives (eg an additional warehouse);

Setting: client has adopted scrum, agile framework;

SAP Modules: SAP SD, SAP MM (incl. WM - Handheld Scanners), SAP GTS, SAP SCM (incl. APO)

Objectives of the job (What is this job like, why is it needed?)

Responsible to oversee the European application landscape with colleague domain architects with primary focus on their respective domain assigned (eg the CISE BI Domain Architect has the domain BI as it's core primary focus, but oversees the entire application landscape with colleague domain architects).

This oversight pertains to 4 major areas:

Ø Tactical and Strategic advisory role, eg recommend tools and applications;

Ø Assisting the scrum, Tier1 and Tier2teams, eg advice solution direction;

Ø Knowledge gathering and sharing within CIS and Business, eg host expert communities;

Ø Other tasks that contribute to a stable application landscape, eg voting member within CCB.

All of the above should relate and contribute to the tactical and strategic direction of the client.

Key Result Areas (What are the key result areas that must be achieved in the job?)

Key result area 1:

Tactical and Strategic advisory role Time investment 15/100

- Recommend tactical
- Represent the clients with vendors, SAP primarily (eg become member of vendor user groups)
- Drive new tools (eg find an AP solution, Assetlink, SARA)
- Advisory role for colleague architects/global solution; become part of global architectural governance structure
- Assist business with creating Project and MRFC Estimations and Proposals; potentially assist building roadmap

Key result area 2:

Assisting the scrum, Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams Time investment 60/100

- Available for scrum teams and Tier 1 and Tier 2 support (this involves "ad hoc" availability whenever a team needs the help of the Domain Architect to solve an impediment)
- Participate in backlog grooming sessions and sprint planning sessions (eg this includes assisting Product owners in writing user stories and the scrum teams to understand and value point the user stories)
- Foster and drive integration amongst the various teams

Key result area 3:

Knowledge gathering and sharing within CIS(E) and Business Time investment 20/100

- Host expert communities
- Be contact person for business for tactical/strategic questions etc. that do not fall in scrum sprints
- Actively educate business and IT colleagues on IT topics (sharing sessions)/present solutions
- Recommend and developing standards across the various teams (eg documentation)
- Challenge and advice high quality of the products build in the various teams
- Coach colleagues to understand the European application landscape solutions (eg explain high level what Intrastat is about).

Key result area 4:

Other tasks that contribute to a stable application landscape Time investment 5/100

- Coordinating role within the IMR process (eg advice where the problem may be and then point IMR team to the respective experts that can solve the critical incident)
- Voting member within CCB process (eg approving transport requests)

Time allocation

The role of Domain Architect requires flexibility in terms of time spend, eg the architect has to work over different time zones and global regions, which may require the architect to be flexible in spending time (eg evening/weekend meetings may be necessary). It definitely requires the Architect to travel occasionally driven by business demand rather than the architect's schedule. The Domain Architect role is a Full time job (exceptions may be granted by management discretion)

7.3 Technical competencies necessary for the job

- In-depth knowledge of functional and technical SAP solutions, especially to the respective domain
- Able to identify, describe and translate business requirements into user stories
- Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively at different levels within the organization
- Ability to think analytically and logically;
- Good knowledge of Consumer Electronic business practices and processes
- Capability to learn and subsequently coach colleagues
- Good command English
- Good understanding of agile scrum framework
- Sparring partner for client management; ability to execute "helicopter, can-do view" over "detailed, impediment view"
- Ability to build network within company
- Recommended: SAP certifications, Broad industry knowledge
