EDT Global are currently working with an established brand that are looking to secure an experienced SAP Applications Manager on either a PERMANENT OR 6 MONTHS + CONTRACT (WITH THE VIEW OF GOING PERMANENT) that will be responsible of the day-to-day management of the SAP environment through a service partner which provides application support to the business.

You will be responsible for building strong relationships with the business as well as the service partner to evaluate and facilitate business requirements with the aim of setting priorities and achieving the right outcome.

You will also be the main escalation point for all SAP application related issues and will be required to promptly respond to all major incidents, business queries & problems.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Min of 10yrs experience of working in SAP environments
- Min 5 years + of working as an Applications Manager in an SAP environment
- Experience of working in an operational role and adhering to operational tasks
- Have experience of working in fast paced, intense work environments
- Experience of the ITIL framework
- Exceptional communications both written and oral
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills and experience
- Service delivery experience
- Experience of working with vendors/service partners
- Experience with problem & incident management

BELOW ARE SOME OF THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES THAT THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE TO TAKE ON BOARD:

- Act as a single point of contact for the applicable service partners into the organisation and manage the delivery of application services against agreed service levels.
- Develop and manage transition and support agreements and associated SLA's with selected Vendors including defining transition phase deliverables, services and reporting.
- Provide guidance in technical incident and problem management including problem diagnosis in relation to application issues/problems within the managed suite of applications.
- Assessing existing processes and develop proposals for procedures, strategies, standards and other documentation pertaining to IT Application Operations. Consult with and assess improvement ideas provided by the IT Services Partners.
- Responsible for information gathering and reporting following an incident escalation including distribution of post incident reports.
- Manage a breadth of technology stacks from a Service Delivery perspective including Java, .Net, database and integration applications/solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of service delivery and offerings
- Actively participate in the Application Services team meetings
- Contribute to and participate in the request for service process as they may relate to the supported suite of applications
- Develop performance measures and operational reports on areas of responsibility.
