SAP ABAP Developer - London - up to £55k plus Benefits

The ideal consultant will have 6+ Years solid SAP ABAP design documentation, development, unit testing and maintenance of SAP ECC applications and proven client facing skills with experience of liaising with key stakeholders/end users at all levels. Ideally someone with a Consulting background or experience working across many different clients system landscapes.

To be considered for this role you must hold either a British or EU Passport.

Essential Skills:

* 6+ Years Solid SAP ABAP Development experience covering Userexits, BDC and Call-Transaction, Interfaces including ALE, IDOC, and BAPI, Module Pool (on-line dialog), SAPScript and Smart-Forms, and Business Add-Ins
* Proven experience in SAP ABAP design, documentation, unit testing and maintenance within an ECC6 environment
* Good understanding of software development methodologies (eg RUP, Agile, Scrum, etc.)
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment
* Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
* Ability to translate technical requirements/constraints to a broad audience of technical and non-technical individuals
* Ability to work as team member or as a single individual contributor
* Ability to learn new concepts quickly.

Nice to have:
* Knowledge of PI and workflow is a plus

Responsibilities:
* Participate with a team of technical staff and management to determine technical systems requirements and functionalities needed in large/complex development projects
* Assess and develop technical design requirements for projects and communicate in writing or in meetings with development team. Assess detailed specifications against design requirements.
* Responsible for the detailed design documentation, development, unit testing and maintenance of SAP applications.
* Write ABAP code for system designs on the SAP ECC platform.
* Code to and interface with Business Application Programming Interfaces (BAPIs).
* Write code for enhancing existing programs or developing new programs.
* Write detailed technical specifications for subsystems and identify integration points.
* Estimate project timelines and resources required to complete programming projects.
* Perform unit testing and debugging and set test conditions based on code specifications.
* Supports application throughout the Product Development life cycle.
* Coordinate with areas for integration architecture solutions and determine the integration approach.
* Review applications and make recommendations to the vendor technical team.
