SAN Storage Engineer

An industry leading global media company is seeking a Storage Engineer with system engineering experience to join their rapidly growing team.

You will work on a team of 16 and have primary responsibility for SAN and NAS engineering and administration. You will support all of the company's systems, so they are also requiring a background in Windows or Unix/Linux engineering/administration as well. Duties include:

-Preform all aspects of SAN engineering, including: installation, support, and maintenance and performance management of the backup, storage and disaster recovery environments. Provide ongoing maintenance, support, troubleshooting and management of Hitachi and NetApp storage provisioning

Work closely with operations, project management, application development, network, and security and database administrators to develop scalable, maintainable, consistent, highly available storage architectures that meet business objectives and improve the existing production storage environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- 3-5 years experience with SAN engineering -preferably Hitachi SAN or Netapp Filer, but will consider any enterprise SAN technologies
- 2 years with Symantec Netbackup
- Prior Windows or Unix systems administration/engineering experience
- Experience with Virtualization- HyperV, VMWare, or Xen
- Some Scripting experience-just for automation of tasks-Perl, Python, Shell, etc.
