SAN Storage and Backup Administrator Contract

My Client, a major financial institution based in Dublin is actively looking for a Senior SAN Storage and Backup consultant for a long term contract based in their offices just outside Dublin City Centre.

TECHNOLOGIES

- Symantec NetBackup
- Storage Array Administration (HDS VSP, HP EVA and EMC DMX and Clariion).
- SAN Switch Administration (Brocade and McData)
- UNIX (Solaris, HPUX and RedHat) Server and User Administration.
- Symantec Storage Foundation and Clustering

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Supporting, Maintaining and Upgrading the NetBackup environment
- Administrating HP EVAs, EMC Clariions and DMXs
- Administrating Brocade and McData SAN Switches
- Managing projects to upgrade key systems and applications
- Designing and architecting solutions for critical systems and applications
- Logging and managing hardware faults with the appropriate third parties
- Administration of enterprise NetBackup environment covering backups of Windows & UNIX OS, SQL, Lotus Notes, Teradata and Oracle.
- Administration of secondary backup applications such as NetBackup PureDisk & BakBone NetVault.
- Implementation and administration of AXS-One email archiving and records management environment.
- Maintain EMC (Symmetrix, Clariion, Celera & Centera) and HP (EVA) storage arrays plus SAN Director Switches.
